Question by Rebel Eye Kayne: What is this “reiki” stuff? Is it of God or science or superstition?
My sister was sick. These nuns came over and did reiki over her and said it was the holy spirit but then this holistic dr also did it to his patients. What is up with that?

it’s native american folk healing–I was not aware that nuns were allowed to do it
Give your answer to this question below!

your sister wasted some money.
Reiki is Buddhist. It is the equivalent of ‘faith healing’ ‘laying on of hands’ etc…a lot of faiths do this.
I do reiki.
superstition
I hope she didn’t pay them. You’re better off praying to God than having superstition waived over her.
Reiki is a technique that allows everyone to tap into an unlimited supply of universal life force energy to improve health and enhance the quality of life. A treatment will often feel like you have been enveloped in a warm light, glowing from the inside out. Many relax so deeply that they fall asleep during a session. Reiki treats the whole person including
body, mind, heart and spirit and allows for deep relaxation, feelings of peace, security, and well-being.
Reiki is not based on any religion and does not require you to give up your current faith. It is based solely on the belief that we are all filled with universal energy and it can be used by anyone to heal.
Reiki is not “Native American folk healing” and anyone who wants to learn can learn it. It was originally from Japan.
Basically when you “do Reiki” you are channeling Universal Life Energy into the person who needs it. It’s very simple.
If you want to call that energy God you can, but believing in god isn’t necessary. If it’s science, it’s science that isn’t understood yet, and as far as it being “superstition”, I tend to shy away from those who label everything that’s not in the Bible or proven by a million double-blind studies “superstition”.
